Takes a licking... keeps on...

I don't usually endorse many products on this blog... however.
I bought this Kingston 2 GB Data Traveler . I find it very convenient for transferring data bigger than what could fit on a CD-R. The disadvantage with it's compact size however... means that it can be easily lost. Such has been the case for the last few days. This morning however I had a flash. (no pun intended) I had perhaps left it in a pair of pants that had found there way to the laundry. Wellthats exactly what had happened and as I opened the dryer door and fumbled threw my jeans, the flash drive was in fact in my back pocket. At first glance it appeared to be in one piece, however with water and extreme heat I did not expect it to work ever again. Well it urns out that it works just fine. I was able to retrieve the files and copy new ones on the device no problem. The little green blinky light even still works.

So thank you Kingston for making this apparently water an heat resistant product.
